UK Mobile operator, Vodafone is all set to bring the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display for their customers. The cellular service provider will start selling iPad Air from November 1st while iPad mini 2 will be available sometime later in November.
A spokesperson said, “Vodafone will offer [the] iPad Air with Wi-Fi [plus] Cellular in the UK on 1 November, and [the] iPad Mini with Retina display later in November.”
“Vodafone will offer these new iPads with a range of attractive data plans that will allow customers to connect to its ultrafast 4G network with speeds up to six times faster than 3G.”
Vodafone has also added a dedicated webpage to its website, showcasing the arrival of the new Apple tablets with their key features, announced a week ago. In addition, Vodafone has also setup a short form to fill out to receive information about the actual availability of the iPad Air and the second-gen of iPad mini. Hence, the arrival of tablets is confirmed, and of course, there are no references to the dedicated offers for Vodafone customers yet.
In all probability, the new Apple tablets will be sold quickly and the cellular wants to bag the maximum profits at a full price that with dedicated subscriptions. For those who don’t need lighting 4G speeds, Orange and T-Mobile networks will also offer new iPads on its cheaper plans. However, there’s no official word on pricing details so far.
Moreover, EE and Three seem to be interested in offering Apple’s latest iPad tablets. In this regard, EE said that they would offer both iPad Air and the second generation iPad mini on its 4G LTE network, with the tablets arriving on November 1 and towards the end of the November, respectively.
For a quick note, the new iPad Air features a 9.7-inch Retina IPS display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 64-bit A7 processor and M7 coprocessor within an ultra-compact design.
It will be available in 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB of storage options while other characteristics include a 5-megapixel iSight camera accompanied by 1.2MP front-facing sensor, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and support for 4G LTE networks.
In addition to new iPad Air features, the iPad mini 2 finally gets a bright 7.9-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels, 64-bit A7 processor and the M7 motion sensor.
