Rumor mill churned again, Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat will be out today.

While rumors about the next-gen Nexus smartphone and Android 4.4 KitKat are not new, the chances of seeing them coming true are very low at this time. However, various reliable sources have reported to Android Police that Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 will be released today.

On several occasions, there were talks of an official announcement for Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of October, and apparently Google doesn’t seem to disappoint expectations.

“After speaking with no less than five different sources with knowledge of the matter, I am ready to confirm that the LG-made Nexus 5 should be unveiled later on today, along with Android 4.4 KitKat,” claimed a former WSJ reporter Amir Efrati.

He also noted that Google and LG may unveil Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat on Google Play store at 12:00PM (CST) today while the retailed availability is tipped for November 1st, as well as European guys may have to wait for tomorrow due to the time difference.

So the wait seems to be over, and after a couple of hours, we will know all about Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat. Besides, the official release of the platform update for the Nexus line of devices (Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10) and the two Google Edition models (Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One) may arrive in next few days.
