The Daily Star said the “spoon botherer” thinks creatures from outer space will use advanced technology to scramble the Russian leader’s warheads. The 75-year-old said: “With one click of a button we can stop the traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and we can knock out radar systems. We can do anything with cyber today – you can imagine what extraterrestrials can do.”
A mum in Texas has given birth to identical twins three days apart. Carmen Martinez welcomed Gabriella (Gabby) Grace Hernandez on 7 March and Isabella Rose Hernandez on 10 March at the Hendrick Health facility, Fox News reported. “Gabby was the first one born at 24 weeks and four days, and Bella was born at 25 weeks, exactly,” she said. Human pregnancies typically last about 40 weeks. Dr James L Tadvick, who helped deliver both babies, said: “I’ve only seen this one other time in my career.”
An oil painting that hung for decades in a bungalow in north London has sold for £255,000, The Times reported. The owner, a 90-year-old woman, was unaware that the depiction of the Madonna and child was the work of a 15th-century Italian master, Filippino Lippi, a pupil of Sandro Botticelli. The family of the woman, who has been living in a care home since last year, were preparing to sell her bungalow in Enfield to help pay for her care when an auctioneer made the discovery during a routine valuation.
