With the holiday season fast approaching, Windows fans have something to be excited about Nokia’s Lumia 929, the long awaited smartphone, is expected to make its debut somewhere in between mid to the end of December this year.
“Falorin” who is a tipster in the WPCentral’s community forum, leaked the image of the 5-inch, white matted smartphone and further informed that it’s going to be powered by 2510 mAh battery.
Most people are referring to the new smartphone as a smaller version of the 6-inch Lumia 1520, which for many users was slightly big. Thus, perhaps the research team of the company would have probably gotten the wind of rumblings in the market have decided to come out with a small screen in Lumia 929.
Other rumors that are bombinating around Lumia 929 include the phone’s specifications. Either based on facts or mere speculations, Lumia 929 comes with a FullHD IPS display and would be available in two versions of 32GB and 64GB; powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip. The phone is likely to come with a 2GB RAM and will sport a 20-megapixel PureView camera and as Nokia phones which are renowned for their excellent cameras, it will continue to maintain their standards.
The leaked photograph of Lumia 929 shows Verizon LTE branding, which strengthen that the phone will be exclusive to Verizon’s LTE Wireless Network.
So, to sum it up, Nokia’s upcoming Windows smartphone, Lumia 929 for Verizon LTE is likely to hit the shelves of the market in the second half of December this year. Considering that the leaked information and rumors regarding the Windows phone are true, Lumia 929 is certainly going to be an expensive, sophisticated smartphone.
Now, only time will tell if Lumia 929 lives up to the expectations its rumors have created amongst young Windows fans. Nokia seems to be on fire. The Finnish company recently unveiled the Lumia 525, to be launched on December 14th.
