Nokia have been testing the Lumia Black firmware internally since the debut of Lumia 1520, but it appears Nokia is now opening testing for Lumia 520/521 users.
After introducing Lumia Black for 6-inch Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 during its Nokia World at Abu Dhabi, Nokia has begun sending invites to Lumia 520 and 521 users for testing the firmware.
Not all Lumia 520/521 users have been invited yet, and it’s unclear how Nokia is planning the rollout. But we presume it’ll gradually open it up to everyone as the weeks go on — before the update releases early 2014.
The following invitation is being sent out to users who have been given the feedback about Lumia 520/521, although, the firmware has very few things for Lumia 520/510 relevantly.
Thank you for giving us feedback about Nokia Lumia 521! Your feedback is highly valuable to us.
We have something we hope might interest you.

‘Lumia Black’ is the follow up to the ‘Amber’ update that was rolled out in late Summer 2013. It offers new camera algorithms, RAW support, updated glance screen, and of course, Nokia Camera app for all Lumia smartphones.
Nokia Lumia Black update is based on the Windows Phone 8 Update 3 and likely to come together early next year. For a quick note, Microsoft has already released a preview version of Update 3 that brings support for FullHD display, driving mode, screen rotation lock, ability to close apps in the multi-tasking menu and more.
If you have Lumia 520/521 and haven’t yet received an invite, then, go to Settings à feedback to Nokia, and share your experience; you should get one soon.
