Rockstar Games today published completely re-built title, GTA: San Andreas for iOS; while Android and Windows Phone users have to wait for next week.
To all you GTA fans out there, you’ll be happy to know that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is now available to download on iOS for $6.99, with Android, Windows Phone and Kindle versions all currently in the works.
At this moment in time, the game is only available on iOS, which is a bit strange considering that Android is just as popular. According to tech blog Engadget, Rockstar Games will introduce versions for other platforms at some point next week.
The game was originally released for the PlayStation 2 way back in 2004, and has been totally remodeled, sporting improved visuals and a first class ticket into the high-tech world that we currently live in.
As well as this, users can also expect to see improvements in the graphics of characters and car models, looking overall more polished when compared to the original version that was announced many moons ago.
Gameplay has also been tweaked, adding the ability to be used with touchscreen devices, offering up a new checkpoint system and two different control options for driving and moving around on foot. Sounds awesome, in all honesty.
It’s also worth noting that the title will only work with iOS 7, with the iPhone 4 and older models said not to support these new settings and controllers – all iPad models are supported though, which is great to see.
