Android 4.4 KitKat for LG G2 has reportedly delayed and will be coming late Febuary or early March, says LG.
Earlier, it was rumored that LG G2 would get Android 4.4 KitKat update sometime in December, but recently, hopes of G2 users are jolted with a bad news. According to the recent reports, the South-Korean baby now will receive the Android 4.4 update late February or early March.
LG is the manufacturer of Google’s Nexus 5, the first phone to reach the market with the Android 4.4 KitKat platform. Although, G2 is the older sibling to the Nexus 5, unfortunately G2 won’t relish the taste of chocolate wafer flavor of Android’s latest KitKat version as fast as it’s Nexus counterpart. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box, won’t be able to get the update at least until February or March.
Surprisingly, In a blog post, the company announced that the LG G2 users of South Korea will start receiving an update to their operating system this month. And, it seems LG wants to give New Year gift to its people or LG has chosen to publish the package first in its country to get feedback and correct any problems, and then proceed to its spread in all other territories.
Google’s update to its operating system released about 2 months ago with the Nexus 5, and has been consistent in satisfying its customers. Although, a few bug problems were reported, but it’s very common these days. Android 4.4 KitKat has many features that are absolutely amazing. Some of these features include, Improved Caller-ID, Immersive Display, Priority Contacts, Enhance Message Grouping, NFC and Wireless Printing, Multitasking, Emoji Characters, Performance, Bluetooth Message Access Profile.
LG has been subjected to constant criticism in the past, regarding its delayed software updates. The Google Play edition tablet LG G Pad 8.3, however, is among the first few devices that has been exposed to the recent software update to the KitKat version, Android 4.4.2. Although it may have been a result of the fact that Google Play edition devices usually receive updates much faster than their siblings do.
