List of accessories compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S4


Two days back Samsung uncovered Galaxy S4 at an event in New York, the new flagship of the South Korean company. Samsung also plans to launch more than 10 accessories compatible with its new smartphone including something truly interesting accessories such as the S Band, S Cover View, video game controller and wireless charging pad.

S Band

The Samsung bracelet will be available in four colors: pink, blue brown and black that will allow you to count your steps, burnt calories and traveled distance. In addition, it also informs you about your “sleep efficiency” at night.

Galaxy S4 S-Band

The S Band comes with a waterproof shell and automatically synchronizes via Bluetooth with the S-Health 2.0 available by default on the device.

S View Cover

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature an interesting ally, the new S View Cover, a cover that not only protects the device, but also allows you to see all notifications.

The S View Cover is not included with the device and its price and availability are yet to be announced.

Game Pad

Galaxy S4 Game-Pad

[two_third]Samsung showcased new gamepad during the Galaxy S4 presentation that shares similar design to the Xbox controller for its latest smartphones. The accessory is compatible with screens ranging in size between 4 to 6.3 inches. It quickly pairs with the devices through NFC connectivity.[/two_third]

Wireless Charging Pad

The Wireless charging pad is an optional accessory that will be available in a few weeks after the launch of the device. It requires a new back-cover and dedicated wireless charger.

Galaxy S4 Wireless-Charging-Pad

Currently, there is no official details about wireless technology that has been used but it is expected with the Qi standard, same as used by the Google Nexus 4 or Nokia Lumia 920.

Besides these interesting accessories, Samsung has prepared different cases, a fitness band that monitors heart rate and a Body Scale that measures weight and sends it directly to Samsung Galaxy S4.
