Hulu looks like it’s getting some new anime titles for us this fall. Quite a few, really. And they all look fairly interesting, to say the least.
All you anime fans are going to be in for a treat this October. At least, all you anime fans who have a Hulu account. For everyone else, well, perhaps this might convince you purchase a Hulu account? Or perhaps you could head on over to Crunchyroll if you want free anime and don’t mind ads?
In any case, here’s the full list of Hulu’s anime lineup.
Dragon Ball Super is the anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Akira Toriyama. Set 10 years after the defeat of Majin Buu in a quiet, peaceful world; Goku’s wife, Chi-chi, orders him to stop being a bum and find a paying job. Goku takes every chance to avoid this. Meanwhile, Goten and Trunks set out on an epic quest. Their goal? Find Videl the perfect present.
Streaming Monday, October 5.
Did you know Inuyasha is going to get an anime sequel? Me neither, not until recently. The story of Yashahime goes that twin girls Towa and Setsuna reunite after 10 long years, only to find out that they’re the half-demon daughters of, dun dun duuun, Sesshomaru. Joined by Inuyasha and Kagome’s own daughter, Moroha, the trio set out on a quest to discover their lost past. Hyped yet? As an Inuyasha fan, I approve of this.

The last season of the wildly popular Attack on Titan anime. Eren and co. arrive at the shores of their land, and someone/something called Marley is threatening them. Now they must unravel the mystery of the Titans before humanity becomes extinct.
Streaming Monday, December 7.
Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba return to class in this second season of the The Irregular at Magic High School anime. They’re doing quite well actually. Too well for the other students in Miyuki’s class apparently, who seem to be keen on doing something about this nobody who’s one-upping them. Oh, and there’s apparently now a vampire hunting people mixed in.
Streaming Saturday, October 3.
Keiichi Maebara moves to the quiet village of Hinamizawa, where he easily makes friends with his new classmates. As the village prepares to the largest festival of the year though, our hero can’t shake a sense of looming dread. What dark secrets lie in this sleepy, little village? And how much blood will be spilled before the night is over in this reboot of the original anime: Higurashi: When They Cry?
Streaming Friday, October 1.
A witch with ash-colored hair wanders through the world at will, looking for an apprentice. Seems like a rather relaxing fairy tale anime building up here. It’s what they’d like you to think, right until the drama and tragedy hits you.
Streaming Friday, October 2.
After dying in his sleep, Ryoma gets a second chance at life when, by the grace of the gods, 3 deities decide to take pity on him and reincarnate him into a fantasy world, where he spends his days caring for and researching slimes. When he ends up healing an injured traveler with said slimes though, he and his slimy buddies decide to set out to help the world. All with the power of slimes, of course.
Streaming Sunday, October 4.
Iska and Aliceliese are sent to slay each other, but decide otherwise after their initial encounter plants the seeds of doubt in their minds. They then form their own alliance in order to stop a centuries-long war between their countries. Oh, and did I mention that one comes from an empire of technology, and the other from an empire of magic?
Streaming Wednesday, October 7.
6 criminals called “Akudama” receive contracts from a mysterious black cat. Sounds legit. And then a civilian girl gets mixed up with them, and things only get hairier in this anime from here on out.
Streaming Thursday, October 8.
Dai, the only human living on his island, gets his peaceful life disturbed when the very evil and dark Dark Lord Hadlar wakes up and threatens the world with his evil. Now very much perturbed, Dai has to set out on a quest, meeting new friends and enemies along the way, in order to defeat the Dark Lord and save the world.
