Google Nexus 5 — in red — release date has been tipped for February 4, while a press render has also been leaked on the Web.
After lots of fake photos of the Nexus 5 in several color variations, the red color finally got glue when the Twitter-based leaker @evleaks posted a press render of the Nexus 5 in red. The back is completely in red as well as the striking earpiece on the front side.
@evleaks is known for his trusted sources in the majority of cases, and we can believe the phone seems likely in the next few days.
Although, Sprint, one of major US network operator stocking details have been surface online, indicating an imminent launch on February 4, in the United States at least. “2/4/14: Google Nexus 5 in red available in Google Play stores,” Sprint has stated in an internal leaked document.
Google hasn’t made any comment to confirm the existence of new Nexus 5 in red color. The new color variant is supposed to be similar to its original counterparts. For a recap, it comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, backed by 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, probably v4.4.2 on-board.
With 16GB/32GB storage options, the Nexus 5 boast a 5-inch screen with a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution. Camera-wise, the phone mounts an 8-megapixel rear sensor alongside a 1.3-megapixel front-facing.
