Lenovo has come up with its new ThinkPad T431s Ultrabook which has a refined exterior, widened trackpad and a lot more. This new ThinkPad T431s Ultrabook will be available from the month of April and can be yours for a price of $949.

This new Ultrabook, the Lenovo ThinkPad T431s is not just an upgrade which gives you better specs. It is actually the first ThinkPad that has been made using the ‘clean sheet’ development initiative, which is an 18 month process that is followed by the company.

This new laptop is tough, rigid and durable. In spite of having a lot of features that are unique to the ThinkPad, the ThinkPad T431s also manages to be called an Ultrabook and it still meets the Mil-SPEC 8 standard for rigidity and durability.

This device has a 14-inch matte display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and 250 nits of brightness. The Ultrabook has integrated Intel HD graphics and 4 GB of RAM which can be upgraded to as high as 12 GB. It also has a front facing webcam which can record videos at 720p resolution. The ThinkPad T431s is backed up by a 47 WHr three cell sealed battery and there is an option for backlit keyboard as well. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0 and built-in support for both Wi-Fi and WWAN. The dimensions of this Ultrabook are 13.03 x 8.89 x 0.8 inches. All this is packed into a sturdy and tough Ultrabook which weighs about 3.6 pounds.

The different ports and sockets on the Ultrabook include a full-size Ethernet port, a VGA socket for projectors, 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo jack, two USB 3.0 ports, a 4 in 1 SD card reader. The good part about this Ultrabook is that it does not have those conventional front hooks that locks down the LCD display when you close the flap.

This model will include a 320 GB hard disk and you can choose between Windows 7 and Windows 8 as your operating system.
