Samsung Arabia has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S3 will get the highly-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update by the end of this month.
The social pages of the major mobile manufacturers have often revealed the official dates of the updates. Recently, Samsung Mobile Arabia has confirmed via its Facebook page that Samsung Galaxy S3 will get the highly-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat update by the end of this month.
Ashif Poochengal, one of Facebook user asked Samsung Mobile Arabia whether “the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 is going to get Android 4.4 KitKat in UAE of not” and Samsung Arabia responded to his question, “Hello Ashif, KitKat update will be available by end of this month. Thanks for your patience.”
However, According to previously leaked document, the KitKat update rollout for the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Grand 2 is scheduled for April-May.
Android 4.4.2 KitKat isn’t major overhaul as Jelly Bean, but will make you device stable and faster. According to Samsung, it includes the following key improvements:
- Location Menu: An integrated location menu enables users to easily activate GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks, while simultaneously checking the battery usage of apps running location service capabilities.
- Enhanced Messaging: Enables users to choose between Messages or Hangouts as their preferred default messaging application, and select from a larger assortment of updated Emoji icons.
- Upgraded Google Mobile Service (GMS) apps: Users can automatically back up photos and video and can open, view, rename and share Google Docs and files.
