As expected, Microsoft kicked off sales of the new Surface 2 with LTE in the United States. It's exclusively available on AT&T for $679.
Microsoft has announced the availability of Surface 2 with LTE for $679 running Windows RT 8.1. The Surface 2 with LTE is currently available in the US exclusive to AT&T only. However, Microsoft promises for more exciting news to follow soon and possibly, the LTE variant of Surface could arrive in Europe as well with Vodafone exclusivity.
Users can purchase the Surface 2 with LTE + Wi-Fi 64GB variant for $679, clearly $130 more than the Wi-Fi only variant. The new tablet from Microsoft is available on Microsoft store, BestBuy.com or other US retailers.
Obviously, the Surface 2 with LTE doesn’t differ in other technical specifications than Wi-Fi variant except the data module with support for LTE networks. Remember, the Surface 2 with LTE offers an elegant and sturdy design made with magnesium. It comes with a kickstand on the back that allows you to take advantage of two standing angles – 24 and 45 degrees, so that you can use it on the table as well as on your lap. It features a 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 processor with 2 GB of RAM.
The Surface 2 with LTE is a mix of power that satisfies the most discerning palates. It has a 10.6-inch screen with FullHD resolution and Clear Type technology, and 5-megapixel and 3.5-megapixel rear and front-facing camera, respectively.
