The popular evleaks has recently leaked out the details of the new Android 4.2 based smartphone from Huawei. The smartphone named Huawei Ascend G700 seems to be a new member of the company’s mid-range Android portfolio as highlighted in the images & specifications over the internet.
Evleaks has released the press image shot of the yet to be officially announced device while the actual hardware end details have been leaked out from another reliable leaker, paopa00128. According to the details shared on twitter, the Ascend G700 is anticipated to sport Mediatek MT6589 quad-core processor. This SoC chip is different from the quad-core Huawei HiSilicon K3V2 chip that has been currently equipped on the newly launched Huawei devices like the Ascend Mate and the Ascend D2.
The smartphone will feature a decent 5-inch HD LCD display. Though G700 is a mid-range handset, hence it appears that it will probably not be full HD rather just 720p.
The Huawei Ascend G700 will be available for purchase in two variants namely W-CDMA and TD-SCDMA. The device will offer a 2GB on board RAM and will come with Android 4.2 OS.
It seems that this new smartphone is the successor of the company’s previous Huawei Ascend G600 which was launched back in August last year. Presently, Ascend G600 is leading in the company’s mid-range Android collection with features like 4.5-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card & 768MB RAM, 8-megapixel autofocus LED flash rear camera, 1930 mAh battery and Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Huawei Ascend G700 might soon take over Huawei Ascend G600, and we assume that the smartphone will be priced in the same range. As per the pricing history of the Huawei G series, the G700 will probably price around $320 USD. Even though there is no official release date as well as pricing details given out as of now, it is quite possible that the smartphone will be officially announced soon in the near future.
