Lenovo has announced its new 5.3-inch smartphone, Lenovo IdeaPhone S920. The device is all set to hit the stores in China starting from April 8th for $354.
From the last couple of weeks, Lenovo IdeaPhone S920 was rumored to be amongst the five smartphones on which the company is currently working on, but the firm didn’t utter a single word on it, rather surprisingly launched the IdeaPhone earlier today.
Lenovo IdeaPhone S920 features a 5.3-inch HD display along with the pixel resolution of 1280×720. Inside, it sports a 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor, a 1GB on board RAM, a 2,250mAh battery and a MicroSD card slot.
IdeaPhone incorporates an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. Both the cameras are capable of capturing the moments of life in good quality. This ultra-thin smartphone is 7.9mm wide and runs the latest android platform i.e. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
It is anticipated that the latest Lenovo IdeaPhone S920 will be competing with the Galaxy Grand I9082 smartphone which is almost similar to it in specifications and features a 5.0-inch 480x800p display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM & 8GB ROM, MicroSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear & 2MP front-facing cameras and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The pre-orders for the Lenovo IdeaPhone S920 will start from April 1st and the willing customers can book the smartphone on the Lenovo’s official Chinese online store. Unfortunately, there is still no official update about the pricing as well as international availability of the smartphone. However, Lenovo has announced that the carriers in China will start selling the S920 smartphone from the upcoming April 8th with a price-tag of CNY 2,199 (or $354).
It is predicted that after China Lenovo will subsequently launch its IdeaPhone S920 in the rest of the world, and will also confirm the actual dates & prices soon.
