If you think that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is all that the company had to offer this year, then let me tell you that you might very well be wrong about this thought. The Galaxy S4 is just the start, and there are many more smartphones in the line that will soon make it to the mobile market.
One of these many devices will be the toned down version of the Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. So funny enough, now that we have the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S3, we will soon have the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Galaxy S4 Mini has the model number GT-I9190 and is said to be a copy of the original Galaxy S4 but will have a low profile hardware configuration.
Just like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3 Mini, it seems that there will be a remarkable difference between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Mini. This is one thing that we would not want Samsung to do if the specs given out in the rumors are true then the Galaxy S4 Mini will just be another good smartphone from the company.
The rumors say that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a pixel density of 256 ppi. The device will be powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. There will be no quad-core processor for the S4 Mini whatsoever. The smartphone will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. We do not have other details like the battery, weight and dimensions as of now, and even though we think that the Galaxy S4 Mini will appeal to the mid-segment consumer segment, the smartphone will be nowhere comparable to the original Galaxy S4.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is said to be launched between June and July and consumers who opt to buy this smartphone will definitely get the looks and design of the S4 but are far from experiencing the power and unique features of the original Galaxy S4.
