Apple has released the iOS 7.1.1 update which contains Touch ID fingerprint recognition improvements, keyboard responsiveness along with some safety and bug fixes.
Apple has just let loose iOS 7.1.1, a 23.1 MB update that brings improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition, along with fixing a bug related to keyboard responsiveness and an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled.
As usual, the iOS 7.1.1 update can be downloaded as free download over the air or using iTunes. In order to download the update, Go to Settings > General > Software Update and it will show the available updates. Tap download and install to download the update. If your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a power source, update might download automatically.
Recently, iOS 7.1, the first major upgrade to iOS 7 was introduced with new features and enhancements. However, some users were citing about the fade problem of Touch ID even after installing the 7.1 update. The extra 0.0.1 is said to improve the Touch ID fingerprint recognition.
Rumor mills are continuously churning about the next iteration of Apple’s iOS. iOS 8 is reported to be coming this fall, and it will include a refreshed version of Maps app with better and more accurate information, Healthbook and improvements in Siri. However, we have to wait for official words from the Cupertino Company.
Further, Apple suggests to back up your device to iCloud or with iTunes before updating your iPhone, iPad, or iPad touch.
