The high-end ASUS Transformer Pad TF303K has been announced by ASUS in an official video. You’ll pay 582 euros (or $582USD), but we don’t yet have a release date.
We’ve heard that a high-end ASUS Transformer Pad was on the way, and we’ve seen photos and heard rumors as far back as March of this year. Now, ASUS has released an official video (called “Experience the ASUS Transformer Pad TF303K”) confirming the tablet’s existence.
The Transformer Pad TF303K is a 10-inch tablet that serves as two devices in one: a tablet and a mini laptop PC. The tablet features a 3D micro-weave back cover that will provide not only a stylish look but also a stylish feel to ASUS’s latest. On the other side of the Transformer Pad TF303K, there’s a hidden hinge with a mobile dock and one-click lock that allows you to connect your tablet to the keyboard easily and transform your experience from a leisure gadget to a productivity tool. The Transformer Pad TF303K is powered by a quad-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (unknown) and 2GB of random access memory. As for onboard memory storage, expect to see 32GB with a microSD card slot for expandable memory storage.
USB on-the-go (USB OTG) is supported by the Transformer Pad TF303K, meaning that you can add additional memory storage to your device when you’re out and about and need some extra space to store your vacation photos. One of the most beautiful factors about the device, apart from its micro-weave back cover, is its Full HD (1920 x 1080p) display that will give you crisp photos and vivid colors. You can stream videos from your Transformer Pad TF303K to your big TV screen via Miracast support, and other supported features include 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5Ghz Dual Band Wi-Fi), dual front-facing speakers (ASUS’s Audio Wizard), and an updated Zen UI.
You can set your reminders, check off tasks completed, and even be reminded later about things that you want to do. On-screen notifications prevent you from forgetting your to-do list easily. A Share Link allows you to share up to 120 pictures in a minute, and you’ve also got a MagSmart cover that’ll likely power down your device when you close it and power it on when you open it (similar to many other magnetic covers with high-end tablets on the market). When not covering the tablet, the MagSmart Cover will double as a stand for your tablet to allow you to view movies, TV shows, and web videos in a format that makes viewing on-screen content comfortable.
For this 10-inch tablet that offers LTE and 10 hours of web browsing, you’ll pay 582 euros ($582USD), but this includes the keyboard dock. Fortunately, you won’t be left paying extra as you will behind Apple’s iPad Smart Cover or Microsoft’s magnetic Surface Tab cover. We don’t yet have word on when ASUS intends to release the Transformer Pad TF303K for sale, and, while the MagSmart Cover for the TF303K is available at ASUS’s site, the TF303K is nowhere to be found.
