The HTC One smartphone will receive the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update within two months from the time of release. Although HTC One, the new flagship device from the company is getting delayed from its release in the consumer market, but this smartphone already seems ready for its first Android update.

The HTC One was announced by the company some weeks ago, and it was said that the device will make it to the consumer market by the month of April. The HTC One runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and just about 2 months after the smartphone is launched, it will get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

Even if this is the case, HTC still needs to sort out the problems of the worldwide release. HTC said that the HTC One will be released on time in some regions, and there will be a delay in other regions. Even though we do not know how long this delay might be, we expect the HTC One to be out soon enough.

The Android 4.2.2 update would boost the HTC One’s competition capabilities against the Samsung Galaxy S4 which will be running Android 4.2.2 right out of the box. Today, it is very important for manufacturers and carrier companies to ensure that their smartphones and tablets run on the latest operating system version available. Most of the consumers feel comfortable in staying up to date and in sync with everything new related to their smart devices.

Considering this fact, HTC One is definitely making the right decision of rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One so soon. It was @LlabTooFeR who tweeted about the 4.2.2 update for HTC One, saying that the update will be available in 1 or 2 months. So if you wanted to buy the HTC One but were disappointed because of the reason that the device runs on Android 4.1.2, then this is good news for you as you now have to wait only for a couple of months in order to get the update.
