Sony has recently revealed that the company is working on a smart glass concept which is somewhat similar to Google Glass.
Recent rumors caught us by surprise when we heard that Google is planning to take on Apple and Samsung in the new field of technology that might change the mobile market forever – ‘Smart Watches.’ But now it seems even Google will be challenged by competitors who are working on their own smart glass in order to compete against the Google Glass.
So it seems that the challenger is being challenged! Google who has decided to enter the smart watch segment and challenge Apple and Samsung is now being challenged by Sony, a company who has decided to take on Google Glass with its very own smart glass.
However, this is not the first company to have come up with such an idea, previously we have also heard that LG is making similar attempts.
Sony has recently revealed that the company is working on a smart glass concept which is somewhat similar to Google Glass. Sony seems to have filed a patent some year back which had the patent number 20130069850 and was called as the head-mounted display apparatus. That is one really cool name that you can use for glasses!
Head-mounted display apparatus patent description
[three_fourth_last]“A head-mounted display apparatus includes an image display device, a wearing device with which the image display device is worn on a head of an observer, and an attachment member with which the image display device is attached to the wearing device. The attachment member is capable of adjusting a position of the image display device relative to the wearing device independently in a first direction and in a second direction, the first direction being defined by a virtual line connecting centers of eyes of the observer, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction and extending vertically with respect to the observer.”[/three_fourth_last]
Things are going to get interesting very soon. Apart from Google, LG and Sony, there will be a lot of other manufacturers that might soon step into the smart glass segment. Let us wait and watch.
