AT&T is offering a number of discounts on the most popular tech of the year, although the deal comes with conditions for the iPhone 5s and 5C.
Are you in the mood for high-end tech but would die for a discount? Well, you’re in luck: right now, AT&T’s offering discounts on the iPad Air along with a group of high-end smartphones, but there’s a catch. To get the iPad Air at a discount, you’ll have to 1) purchase either the iPhone 5s or iPhone 5C through AT&T’s early upgrade “Next” program, and 2) the discount will only work for a cellular iPad Air (not Wi-Fi iPad Air models). If you decide to take advantage of this offer, you can get the 16GB 4G + Wi-Fi iPad Air model for $199.99 with the Next program intact.
If going through the AT&T Next program doesn’t seem like too hot of an offer, you can take advantage of AT&T’s isolated smartphone offers. If the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5C don’t appeal to your tastes, and you prefer the wonderful world of Android, you can purchase high-end smartphones such as the Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, LG G3, Lumia 1520, and Lumia 1020 for the lowest prices AT&T has ever offered on these flagships. You can get the Samsung Galaxy S5 via AT&T’s website for $99.99, but you could sign a two-year agreement with AT&T via Amazon and get the Galaxy S5 for as low as $0 (two-year contract required).
The LG G3 has received quite a lot of attention this year as one of the top Android smartphones to own. If you go the route of AT&T’s website, you’ll pay the typical $199.99 – but Amazon’s offering a 32GB AT&T LG G3 for as little as $0 and as high as $99.99 with a two-year agreement. Keep in mind, however, that you’ll have to wait 2-3 weeks for your G3 to ship. If you’d rather not wait, you can always go in to a local AT&T store to pick up the G3 (though it’ll cost you).
The HTC One M8 is known for its gorgeous metal design, though it does come heavier than either the G3 or the S5 in hand. Amazon’s new deal for an AT&T HTC One M8 (32GB) allows you to pay as high as $79.99 and as low as $0 for the new handset.
The Lumia 1520 and 1020 are two additional handsets that fall under AT&T deals. Amazon is offering the Lumia 1520 (16GB) for as high as $99.99 and as low as $0 with a two-year contract. For those that choose to order their Lumia 1520 directly from AT&T’s website, you’ll pay the typical $199.99 for the handset. If you want to grab a Lumia 1020, what many have called “the 41MP camera,” you can get the 32GB model with AT&T through Amazon for as low as a penny (if not free).
Of course, AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the Amazon Fire phone, and Amazon is selling its own first smartphone for free with a two-year contract. There are some discounts on cellular iPad models that rely on AT&T’s wireless service.
All of these phones come through AT&T for next to nothing, and many models offer 32GB of memory storage. If you’ve ever wanted to indulge the tech enthusiast within, now’s the time.
