Razer has started the shipment of the Windows 8 powered Razer Edge tablets. The company said that the shipping has already begun, and consumers will get their tablets delivered to them very soon.
Of course, this is no random shipment or an option to directly buy one right now. These shipments have started only for consumers who had pre-ordered the Razer Edge tablets in the earlier in the month of March. So if you happen to be one of the buyers who pre-ordered this cool tablet, then this is good news for you!
Razer made this announcement through a note on Razer’s Facebook page. The company said that the shipping process has started and has eventually fulfilled the promise that the company made about starting shipment before the end of March. If you are curious about which models are being shipped, then there is good news for you again. Razer has started the shipments for both the variants, the standard Razer Edge and the Razer Edge Pro which is the higher end and more expensive tablet.
Razer Edge tablets have definitely been a hit among consumers, and one example to prove this point is the fact that the pre-orders for the Razer Edge Pro tablets were stopped in less than two weeks after the pre-orders began. There has been a really high demand in the ‘Pro version’ because of which the company had to halt the pre-orders. The standard Razer Edge is still available for pre-order and has a price of $999. But if you place your order right now, then you will not be a part of the list for whom the tablets are currently being shipped, you will have to wait for about 4 to 6 weeks to get your tablet shipped. And last but not the least, for now the shipments are limited to US and Canada only.
If you have not ordered a Razer Edge tablet yet, then there is good news for you as well. The company has announced that future shipments of Razer Edge tablets will have the Valve’s Steam PC game download software client pre-installed on it and will also work well with Steam’s Big Picture mode.
