Powered by Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 are now available for purchase in India
For those who have been biting their nails in anticipation of Microsoft Mobile’s flagship sibling to its Lumia 930, bite no more.
Microsoft Mobile (formally known as Nokia) announced early this month that the Lumia 830 would be available in India from October 6th. The phone is now available for Rs. 28,799.00 both online retailers and local stores.
The Lumia 830, dubbed as the “affordable flagship”, shares some key features with the flagship device including the design and color options (i.e. bright orange, bright green, dark grey and white), Optical Image Stabilization, PureView technology, NFC, Location sharing, and Wireless Charging.
In terms of specs, the Lumia 830 offers a 5.0-inch 720p screen, quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot up to 128 GB, 10 MP PureView camera with LED flash, HD 0.9 MP wide angle shooter up front, LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC and a 2200 mAh battery. The device comes with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 and Lumia Denim firmware onboard.
In addition to the Lumia 830, Microsoft has also announced the availability of the Lumia 730, a mid-range handset that features a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 resolution display, quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, , microSD card slot up to 128 GB, 6.7 MP PureView camera and a 2220mAh battery. The L730 is a dual SIM variant of Lumia 735 that offers LTE connectivity.
The key feature of this budget phone is its front-facing camera that boasts Full HD 5MP wide angle sensor. Moreover, the phone is available for Rs. 15,299.00 and comes in four colors: bright orange, bright green, dark grey and white.
The Lumia 730 is the first ‘selfie’ Windows phone, and potential buyers can look forward to the secondary camera and changeable shells.
