LG’s next-gen smartphone, LG Optimus G2 spotted in GLbenchmark

The battle of the next-gen smartphones has already started. Key players in the smartphone industry like Samsung, Sony and HTC have already unveiled their next-gen smartphones. Now it seems that LG will be the next entry in this list with its new LG Optimus G2.

The LG Optimus G is definitely a powerful smartphone but can hardly compete against the next-gen smartphones. As a result of knowing this fact, the company has already been working on its next-get device which will most probably be the LG Optimus G2.

Even though LG has not made any official announcement, this new smartphone from LG has appeared on a benchmarking site, hence revealing its specs.

So if the reports are true and this smartphone really is the LG Optimus G2, then according to listing on GLbenchmark, the LG Optimus G2 will be an extremely powerful smartphone.

The LG Optimus G2 will be powered by the 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone will have a full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080p and probably a 5-inch display. The smartphone will also have a high performance 13 MP Primary Camera and a 2 MP Secondary Camera. The device will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will have a hefty battery to power the device.

Now that the LG Optimus G2 has already reached up to the benchmark level, it is only a matter of time after which the company will officially unveil its new smartphone. It was earlier rumored that this smartphone would be unveiled at the IFA trade fair later this year, but now it seems the unveiling will take place even before this event.

We do not have a lot of information about this smartphone as of now, but we will soon find out more and let you know. LG seems to have put in a lot of efforts and has ensured that the company’s next-gen smartphone is able to match the best in the market.
