Microsoft teased Windows 10 Build 9879 for Windows Insiders by posting an image on Twitter. The release can be expected later today.
Microsoft has posted up a teaser on Twitter showing the build 9879 number for the upcoming Windows Technical Preview release, and the new preview build may be released today.
The Build 9879 will be the second update build to Windows 10 Technical Preview and will be delivered as part of the Windows Insider Program. Like the 9860, the newest update build will also be an in-place upgrade, and you will require the 9841 or higher and sign up for Windows Insider program to get it. Moreover, the Redmond giant also has no plans to release ISO files for the release as earlier.

At the moment, we do not have any concrete details about this build in terms of new features and enhancements. However, the 9879 is likely to include the ability to pin things to the Home area of File Explorer and other UI enhancements. The new update will also allow users to show/hide search and task view buttons on the Taskbar.
At the time of writing this post, Microsoft didn’t release the 9879. We will keep you posted if and when the Redmond servers pushes this new preview build for download.
