The Facebook phone will have 4.3-inch display, standard hardware configuration, 5 MP Primary Camera, 1.6 MP Secondary Camera, and 16 GB of internal storage.

‘Come See Our New Home On Android,’ said Facebook in an invitation that was sent to the press. The social network giant invited everyone to come to the special event that will be held on the 4th of April at the Menlo Park headquarters in California.

We think that the event will be the place where the next Facebook phone will be unveiled. This might be big news for some, but there have already been talks about Facebook working in collaboration with HTC to make a new smartphone that will run on Android operating system but will be focused around Facebook.

This upcoming event has a very catchy title,

‘Come See Our New Home On Android.’

The fact that Facebook will soon have a new home indicates that we won’t just get to see a new Facebook app for Android. The company will take this opportunity to unveil to the world and most importantly to the Facebook fans, the new smartphone that might prove to be successful this time.

I said this time because this is not the first time that Facebook and HTC have attempted to make a smartphone dedicated to the social network. Previously we have seen the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa that made a similar attempt.

But this time, we might get to something different. Something that is more realistic and more than just a dedicated Facebook button. For the real deal, we will have to wait for the 4th of April when the Facebook event takes place. As for now, rumors indicate that the new smartphone will have a 4.3-inch display, standard hardware configuration, 5 MP Primary Camera, 1.6 MP Secondary Camera, and 16 GB of internal storage.

Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites in the world. With over 1 billion users on Facebook, out of which about 680 million users access the site through mobile devices, Facebook already has a huge business potential. The only question is whether Facebook has finally figured out a way to capitalize on this.
