Samsung is working on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, the next generation tablet from the company and the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. After the successful unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the company is now focusing on its next device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
Since the start of the year, Samsung has releasing a number of new smart devices which include both smartphones and tablets including the next-gen flagship device of the company, the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Now, SamMobile has reported that the website has received information about the next possible launch from Samsung. The website has received pictures and specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 from an undisclosed source. This new tablet looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and has the same wallpaper image that we saw on the Galaxy S4. The report says that this tablet will be way more powerful than any of the Samsung tablets available in the market right now.
The undisclosed sources also gave the explanation as to why Samsung has decided to take this step. The sources said that
‘due to the success of the Galaxy S phone line, Samsung will be applying the same knowledge and marketing strategies to their tablets.’
This new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will have a lot in common with the Samsung Galaxy S4. It will have a very similar hardware configuration as the Galaxy Tab 3 will also have the Exynos 5 chipset, Power SGX 544MP3 GPU and 2 GB RAM. The tablet is expected to have a 10.1-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and pixel density of 300 ppi. The tablet will also have a very high capacity battery with a capacity of 9000 mAh. The cameras on this tablet will be as good as the ones present on high end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S3, meaning that the tablet will have an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. Interestingly, the product codes for this tablet are the same that have been mentioned in earlier rumors. The product codes are GT-P8200, GT-P8210 and GT.
