Microsoft/Nokia’s McLaren is in the news again. The Lumia prototype device has been spotted again in pictures compared to the iPhone 6.
Lately, the successor of Lumia 1020 codenamed ‘McLaren’ was spotted with LED flash – instead of Xenon flash – with quite similar camera hoop on the back. Although, the prototype device, from Nokia labs, reportedly abandoned, but the recently leaked pictures hint the possibility of resurrection of Windows phone, model RM-1052.
A Chinese website CN Beta has published a photo gallery comparing the Lumia prototype McLaren with the iPhone 6. In the leaked pictures, the Lumia handset is slightly bigger than the iPhone 6 and confirms to have 5-inch Full HD Clear Black IPS display.
Other than that, the device is likely pack Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of main memory, and 32GB of internal storage with microSD expansion.
In addition, the Windows phone doesn’t have traditional navigation keys and features virtual soft keys instead, however boasting a PureView camera, it does have a dedicated camera button.
It’s running Windows Phone 8.1, but also showing off folders on Start – a features of Windows Phone 8.1 Update – that tipoffs the pictures are likely new and fresh, and Microsoft Mobile Oy (Nokia Mobile Division owned by Microsoft now) might not have given up on the device.
If the Lumia phone brings back to life, it would be the flagship device of 2015 by Microsoft.
