Microsoft on Monday kicked off a "12 Days of Deals" sale that includes a great deal on the 10.1" Asus Transformer Book.

This morning, Microsoft is offering 10.1” hybrid computer, the ASUS Transformer Book T100TAF-B1-MS Signature Edition, for an amazing $249 or $80 off the sticker price.

The lucrative prince is part of its 12 Days of Deals promotion. The Redmond giant is offering a new deal every day starting 8AM ET until the next weekend.

Many consider the holiday shopping season almost ends after Cyber Monday. But many retailers, like Microsoft Store, keeps rolling out deals until the Christmas or later too, hoping to grab a larger chunk of a consumer’s budget.

ASUS, known for its hardware and electronics, is obviously taking part in that practice, by offer up its Transformer Book T100TAF for sale at $249. It will be selling a limited quantity of the hybrid computer for today only, which also comes with a free one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal (a $69.99 value).

In terms of specs, it’s packed with 10.1-inch HD touchscreen, 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z3735F processor, 2GB DDR3L RAM, 32GB eMMC, 1.2MP webcam, 3-in-1 card reader (MicroSD/MicroSDHC/MicroSDXC), USB 2.0 detachable keyboard, Miracast enabled Wireless-N, Bluetooth, and 2-cell 32WHr battery ensuring up to 11 hours of autonomy.

The PC runs Windows 8.1 with Bing and being a Signature Edition it’s completely free from junkware and 3rd party trialware.
