Nokia release new firmware for Lumia 920, 820 and 620

Nokia has announced the availability of new update of the firmware for Lumia 920, 820 and 620 which introduces several fixes and enhancements. The update also includes a new functionality Storage Check that graphically shows the space occupied by apps and allows you to clean the temporary files. The distribution of the update began yesterday and will arrive gradually to all the countries where the company is selling these three Windows Phone smartphones.

The new firmware for Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 i.e.1232.5957.1308.00xx introduces three main features. The Finnish manufacturer has improved the working of the light sensor, so now the display should provide increased visibility in varying light conditions. It has also resolved the problem that caused the screen to flash during a call. Lastly, there have been improvements in stability and performance.

More interestingly, there are new features introduced with firmware for Lumia 620, versioned 1030.6407.1308.00xx. Nokia has improved the touch functions (in particular with the use of multiple fingers), the sound quality when you use Bluetooth headsets with noise reduction and the performance of the camera when the flash is used in bright light conditions.

Firmware 1308 for all the devices introduces the new app Storage Check within the settings. At startup,  you will see a colored ring that indicates the space occupied by the operating system, app, files and free space. With swipe from right to left,  you can see the space occupied by each installed app in detail. The same screen also allows you to clean the temporary files with a single tap.
