The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models might soon take over the current generation Galaxy Tab 2, and the tablets are expected to be priced in the same range.

The Greek site Techblog has recently leaked out details of the two new next-generation Galaxy Tabs from Samsung. The tablets appear similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and are named as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 3 8.0. Both these tabs are alike, but the difference lies mainly in their screen sizes, battery capacity and weight as highlighted by the specifications over the internet. Alongside the leak, the site also claims that Samsung will announce Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Tab 3 10.1 in the upcoming days.

Techblog has apparently released the press image shot of the yet to be officially announced devices, but it’s not clear that the image represent which of the Tab 3 variant. This blurry image plots a rough outline about the tab depicting that it is white in color and resembles like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 in design.

According to the details leaked, both the tabs are almost similar on the hardware part. They are anticipated to sport a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 3-megapixel primary & 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, MicroSD card slots and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. they will have support for WiFi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB. Even both the tabs could transfer data via 3G / HSPA + 4G / LTE.

Apart from these specifications, there are some features which make Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 3 8.0 different from each other. The former will feature a 10.1-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels while the latter will feature an 8.0-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels.

Another difference lies in the amount of RAM as well as internal storage. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will come with an 1GB of on board RAM & 16GB of internal storage, whereas Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will come with 2GB of on board RAM & some internal storage (the exact amount is not yet leaked).

In addition, the 533gm heavy Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 measures 256.7 × 175.3 × 8.7 mm and incorporates a 7,000 mAh battery, while the 330gm hefty slab Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 measures  112.1 × 209.6 × 6.95 mm and is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models might soon take over the current generation Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and we assume that the tablets will be priced in the same range.

It seems that South Korean company will introduce two models dubbed as SM-T3100 featuring 16 GB of storage & 3G/4G connectivity and SM-T3110 comprising 16 GB of storage & WiFi only. The alleged reports also reveal that Samsung is expected to start selling the 3G variants of these tablets in May while the 4G LTE variants will arrive in June/ July. Even though, there is no official release date as well as pricing details given out as of now, it is quite possible that the tablets will be officially announced soon in the near future.
