Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has a 7-inch display with a 1024×600 resolution and a pixel density of 169 ppi, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
Samsung has officially announced a new tablet in the Galaxy Tab series, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. This new Galaxy Tab 3 is a 7-inch tablet which aims to compete against other low-priced 7-inch tablets available in the market.
The new 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 might definitely be the solution to a lot of consumers who have been waiting for a small sized tablet that fits in their budget. To be honest, the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 really seems to be just a low budget tablet. There are hardly any features that will really impress high end consumers, and even though the tablet is named as the Galaxy Tab 3, it does not seem to have the quality and performance that we were expecting.
Not every tablet is supposed to be super fast and powerful, we know that and we also understand that there are a lot of consumers that actually want a lower power and budget tablet. However, this does not mean that Samsung totally trims down the Galaxy Tab 3 and put a hardware configuration that would not have been impressive even a few years ago.
So coming to the technical specifications that we are not so happy about. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and a pixel density of 169 ppi. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, standard GPU and 1GB of RAM. The tablet also has a 3MP primary camera and a 1.3MP secondary camera. There are two internal storage options namely 8GB and 16GB, but the microSD card support will allow consumers to expand memory.
The tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has support for 3G and 2G wireless data networks but the tablet does not have support for LTE. And if you are interested in buying this tablet then you will have to wait only for a few weeks. According to Samsung, the Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be available by May whereas the mobile data connectivity version will be available by June. There are no details about the pricing as of now, but we will get back to you with more details very soon.
