BlackBerry R10 will have a 3.1-inch display with 720x720 resolution, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 1800mAh battery, and will be running BlackBerry 10.1 OS.

Images and specs of the soon to release BlackBerry R10 have been leaked on the internet. The BlackBerry R10 has been in talks since some time now and it was believed that this particular smartphone would be the way in which BlackBerry 10 could reach low and mid-segment consumers. So it seems that the BlackBerry R10 is almost ready and good to go, but is BlackBerry ready to unveil it any time soon?

If you have been closely following BlackBerry, then you must already know that there was a report which showcased the road map of BlackBerry for the year 2013. In this particular roadmap, there was a new BlackBerry 10 smartphone that had not made it to the market yet, the BlackBerry R10. It was believed that the BlackBerry R10 is the soon to be launched affordable smartphone that will bring BlackBerry 10 to low and mid-segment consumers.

And thanks to this new leak, it seems that Blackberry does have plans to unveil the BlackBerry R10 very soon. So after successfully launching the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10, BlackBerry might be ready to bring to you the BlackBerry R10!

Interesting enough, the first leak about the BlackBerry R10 has come on Instagram. It is very clear that the source who posted these images had access to a red colored BlackBerry R10, the source even added a comment saying “Scheduled Q3, but it’s a mid tier… Plastic and all.. Nice though.”

The leaks did not stop there. After the first post on Instagram, there was another source who posted images of a black colored BlackBerry R10 and that too along with the specs. So if this information is true, then the BlackBerry R10 will have a 3.1-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels.

It will sport a 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 1800mAh battery, 5MP primary camera and will be running BlackBerry 10.1 OS. And judging by the leaked images, the smartphone will be available in red and black color options, but we also expect the device to be available in white.

The information provided by the second source also says that the BlackBerry R10 runs on BlackBerry 10.1. The 10.1 update has not even been released for the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. So we assume that there is still a considerable amount of time left for the BlackBerry R10 to official make it to the consumer market.
