If you’re scanning the market for a new Xbox One console, you might want to hold on to the craving until later this year. As according to a tweet yesterday by Studio Head for Halo 5 Guardians Josh Holmes, there is apparently a limited edition Halo 5 Xbox One console on its way, which hasn’t been revealed yet. It’s safe to assume here that the new limited edition console would be launched alongside Halo 5 Guardians, all set for a release on October 27.

The head of development at 343 Industries, Josh Holmes responded on his Twitter profile if Halo fans could look forward to a Guardians themed Xbox One and said, “There is a limited edition console coming, yes. It hasn’t been revealed yet, but its pretty sweet.” in response to a fan’s query if they have any plans for an Xbox One Edition Halo 5.

The Redmond giant has already announced a few limited edition bundles for the game. On the official Microsoft blog, there is a $100 bundle which gets “new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.” The more expensive bundle will be available at $250 which in addition to the perks of the $100 bundle, also gets a commemorative statue.

Holmes also announced that the title will have dedicated servers for multiplayers. Meanwhile, Microsoft also released a new trailer for Halo 5: Guardians, which shows-off UNSC elite man-hunter Spartan Locke taking out Covenant while chasing Master Chief.

The latest release in the series, Halo: The Master Chief Collection did get a special bundle but not a themed Xbox One. While since its launch in the market, Microsoft has barely come up with limited edition versions of the console compared to Sony’s PlayStation, who have launched a plethora of limited edition variants of the PS4 including the slick Metal Gear themed PS4.
