AT&T has started rolling out a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy S4. This new update is just a 21MB file and the over the air update package shows no change log whatsoever. There have been sources who say that the new update is worth the download.

After T-Mobile who rolled out a new software update earlier, it is AT&T who rolls out the first update for the Samsung Galaxy S4. AT&T consumers using the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be able to get the notification on their devices but will not be able to see any change log which indicates what’s new in the new package.

We still insist that you download the 21MB package that is available over the air and update your S4 devices. Galaxy S4 owners who have already upgraded their devices say that the new update provides faster performance and smoother animations. In the past, there have been a few reports which said that the Samsung Galaxy S4 had jitters in certain animations. So if problems like these are going to be fixed by the new update, then consumers will definitely want to get their hands on it.

If you are on AT&T and are using a Samsung Galaxy S4, then use any of the following methods in order to check whether the update is available for you or not:

  1. Go to Settings -> More -> About device -> Software update
  2. Connect your device to the computer and check for the update using Samsung Kies
