Windows 10 Mobile build 10512 allegedly leaked in screenshots on China's Tieba Forums, while the official rollout is likely this week.
With Windows 10 Mobile nearing release, new screenshots of build 10512 running on a Lumia 929 have now popped on China’s Tieba Forums. The screenshots do not reveal anything substantial, though it seems Microsoft is working to improve the overall user experience offering bug fixes and other performance improvements.
Notably, the forthcoming build is a part of the latest TH2 (Threshold 2) branch, which is apparently the codename for Windows 10 Update 1, implying that it’ll bring Windows 10 Mobile OS at par with its desktop counterpart and will include the update when the final build starts rolling out during autumn.
Meanwhile, Microsoft’s Gabe Aul yesterday announced that a new Windows 10 Mobile build starting in the 105xx series would be made available ‘very soon’ for Windows Insiders. It’s been over a month now since the last build 10166 was rolled out. Hence, the upcoming release will most likely be a major overhaul over its predecessor.
An exact release date of the next preview build has not been announced yet, though it will not be long and might be rolled out sometime later this week.
For a quick note, Microsoft has updated Windows Insider app so as to early adopters should expect a smoother experience with the upcoming build. Meantime, previous reports suggest the company has planned to launch two flagships namely Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL along with four more Lumia smartphones, which likely to go on sale sometime in November.
