Microsoft Store UK accidentally lists new Lumia 950 flagships online, which have now been removed. To be unveiled at its upcoming October 6th NYC event.
Microsoft Store UK appears to have accidentally listed the upcoming Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, which will feature the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS. The listing was spotted by Twitter user David Gilbert, who posted screenshots of the listing, which has now been removed from the Microsoft Store.
According to the listing, the Lumia 950 XL comes with a 5.7-inch WQHD display along with a 20MP rear camera with ZEISS optics. In addition, it states that the Lumia 950 XL will come with 32GB of in-built storage space, expandable up to a massive 2TB via a microSD card. While it’s smaller sibling, the Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch WQHD display with the rest of its specs remaining the same as its XL counterpart.
As there’s no mention of the price nor does it confirm the 3GB of RAM earlier speculated. Neither does the listing mention USB Type-C reversible port for fast charging and output. Though we can be rather sure what cameras and displays the duo will feature, as these are official images. Even the design seems to be typical of the premium Lumia handsets seen in the past, with three physical buttons on the left side i.e. volume rocker, power, and camera.
Microsoft is expected to announce the duo at its upcoming October 6 media event in New York. Rumors of an affordable Windows handset is also being speculated to be unveiled at the event tipped as the Lumia 550. The device is expected to get a 5-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage along with a 5MP primary camera.
We might also see the highly anticipated next-gen Surface Pro 4 hybrid at the event. Rumors of the hybrid’s October launch surfaced back in July, which is expected to retain the same super sleek form factor and is expected to get Intel’s new Skylake processors, a fingerprint scanner along with the latest Windows 10.
The Windows maker is also expected to unveil the ‘Band 2,’ alleged renders of which appeared online last week. The second iteration of Band codenamed ‘Envoy’, is expected to get a major overhaul in its visual appeal, something you’d actually like flaunting among your peers. Apart from the design overhaul, the Band 2 is also expected to get a bunch of improved sensors which include GPS, microphone, UV sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer along with galvanic skin response sensors.
