With Black Friday almost upon us, popular US-based retailers are already showcasing great discounts on consoles, bundles, gaming titles and accessories. Though it seems Microsoft does not want to be see lagging behind in the sales rush, as the Xbox maker gives a teaser that there’ll be a Black Friday sale happening on its Xbox LIVE Marketplace via the official website. The tagline of the teaser reads:
“Blockbuster Games, Exclusive Deals, No Lines”
The company then further adds that Black Friday is arriving soon which will be “bigger than ever”. Hence, we’ll have to wait until November 27 to see what the software giant has on offer for this year’s Black Friday; however, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will get access to the Black Friday deals as early as November 20.
We can expect a slew of Xbox One exclusives that came out this year to be available at discounted prices that include the likes of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5 Guardians along with Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Moreover, with backwards compatibility along with Windows 10 soon hitting Xbox One, it should not come as a surprise to see a host of Xbox 360 games witnessing price drops. And it shouldn’t be a bad deal considering they have much smaller download size making them well worth checking out if you missed some of the best titles that generation had to offer, as opposed to Xbox One titles as most of them are around 30GB-40GB downloads.
Moreover, it is good to see Microsoft taking a standalone initiative on its own given the fact that digital deals are not anything new.
