Microsoft has finally announced its newly launched Windows 10 Mobile powered flagship smartphones – the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL for Indian consumers.
The duo will be available in dual-SIM configuration starting December 11, while pre-orders also begin today across Microsoft Priority Resellers and other retail partners. Notably, the Microsoft Display Dock, priced at INR 5,999, will be free as a part of a limited period offer with both the smartphones while stocks last.

After an almost two-year gap, we are finally seeing Windows based flagship handsets. Microsoft announced the flagship duo at its hardware event in October, and the main highlight of these devices is the Continuum that turns the smartphone into a PC by using the Display Dock.
In terms of specs, the Lumia 950 gets a 5.2-inch 2K AMOLED display and gets powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset bundled with 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card. Meanwhile, the Lumia 950 XL gets a 5.7-inch 2K display and powering it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC bundled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also gets 32GB of storage expandable up to 200GB via microSD slot.
Both devices share the same optics with a 20MP PureView camera with 4K recording capabilities, OIS and f/1.9 aperture. While on the front, there’s also a 5MP wide-angle cam capable of shooting Full HD videos and comes with f/2.4 aperture. In addition, the newly launched flagships also feature adaptive antenna technology along with liquid cooling, and will run the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS out-of-the-box.
Both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL support fast charging, which can reach more than 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes, and will be available at a best buy price of INR 43,699 ($654) and INR 49,399 ($743) respectively.
