Sony Xperia L4, the new phablet to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

It seems that the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have a great rival that will challenge the new phablet in each segment. This new rival is expected to be the Sony Xperia L4. With the Sony Xperia L4 in the picture, we will be able to witness a new battle of phablets.

Sony Xperia L4 is rumored to be the new phablet from the company which will take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The phablet is expected to have a 6.44-inch Full HD display and is also expected to have stylus-like support just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet. To be more specific, the Sony Xperia L4 will provide an even better stylus experience as compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note series of phablets.

Reports say that consumers can use almost anything they want as a stylus, even a pen or a pencil. There have been two sources who claim to have heard about the Xperia L4 phablet from Sony representatives at official Sony events, meaning that the device is official and might be unveiled soon.

Techblog.gr and Gizbot.com said that they were able to get a lot of useful information from Sony representatives and seem to be impressed as well. These sources said that the Xperia L4 will have a 6.44-inch Full HD IPS display with a 1080p resolution and a very high pixel density. The device will also have Sony OptiContrast and Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2 which will further enhance and refine the display and performance.

The device will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 600 or Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB or RAM. Other important features include 32GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 3500 mAh battery, 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The device will also have support for 4G LTE.

It is being expected that Sony will also provide dust proofing and water resistance as a standard on this device. If the Sony Xperia L4 is for real, then it will be the biggest rival for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is expected to have a 6-inch display.
