Popular source Evleaks has posted images of the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The device has not been officially announced but we now have an idea about what it looks like and how powerful the device will be.
Previously, there have been images and specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active that were leaked on the internet. Those reports suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will have an 8MP primary camera and a dual-core processor. With the information provided in these previous reports, it seemed that the Galaxy S4 Active would not be as powerful as the standard version.
And now, the images leaked by Evleaks indicate that the device might in fact not be able to match the original Samsung Galaxy S4. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is a dust proof and water resistant smartphone that will have a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The device will be powered by a 1.9GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 Active will have a 2.1MP secondary camera and an 8MP primary camera instead of the high performance 13MP camera present on the original Galaxy S4.
Apart from these differences, a lot of the specs and features are expected to be the same. The Galaxy S4 Active comes with internal storage of 16GB and a microSD card support of up to 64GB, and also comes with a 2600 mAh battery. The device will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box and will also have support for 4G LTE. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC and IR blaster.
There is one important feature that totally separates the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active from all the other versions including the standard Galaxy S4, dual-SIM S4 and stock S4. The Galaxy S4 Active is a dust proof and water resistant smartphone and at the same time is also very tough on the outside.
