BlackBerry Q5, one of the latest mid-segment smartphones running on BlackBerry 10 OS is now available for pre-order in the UK. The BlackBerry Q5 is a powered down version of the BlackBerry Q5 that is said to bring the BlackBerry 10 experience to low and mid-segment consumers.

The BlackBerry Q5 will be launched on 15th of July, but you can pre-order one right now to ensure that you get the shipment right after the device is launched. As of now, you can pre-order the BlackBerry Q5 from UK retailer Unlocked Mobiles which are offering the device for a price of 349.98 GBP, which is around US $545 when converted. The BlackBerry Q5 handset pre-ordered this way will be SIM free and will also include VAT.

The BlackBerry Q5 is the new QWERTY smartphone from BlackBerry that will run on BlackBerry 10 OS. The device has a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels. The device will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and will have 2GB of RAM. It will also have a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera.

It has been said that the BlackBerry Q5 will be available in a variety of color options which include black, white, red and pink. And if you pre-order now, you can only get the black and white color options because these are the only two colors being offered right now by the online store. There is a good possibility that Red and Pink color options will also be offered soon. However, we suggest you do not completely base your decision on this.

If you are looking out for some interesting plans that can go along with the BlackBerry Q5, you will have to wait for the device to be launched. Once done, a lot of other UK retailers like Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U will start offering the device at subsidized rates along with a two year contract.
