One of the Indian mobile network operators Aircel has made an announcement stating that the company will offer unlimited local calls and data to its customers on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day. The designed offer will cost INR 123 and run only on 15th August.
Once the offer is activated, existing Airel customers will be greeted with unlimited data so they that they can download, live video stream, browse HD content, and much more without worrying about any limit.
“With ‘Azaadi Offer’ we are removing the cost barrier for our customers and replacing it with unlimited benefits. The special product offers freedom from worrying about mobile bills and making it special for customers to spend a day loaded & packed with music, movies, social networking, chatting, sharing HD content, talking, etc.,” Aircel’s Anupam Vasudev said.
“We truly cherish the relationship with our customers, and this is our way to be a part of their Independence Day celebrations,” Vasudev added.
In the related news, state-owned telecommunications company BSNL has also decided to offer unlimited free calls to all mobile service and landline network providers on August 15.
According to earlier reports, Bharti Airtel got hold of rights to benefit from 4G airwaves of Aircel when it comes to seven out of eight telecom circles under its spectrum trading deal worth INR 3,500 crore.
In other news, Aircel along with Bharti Airtel and BSNL is held responsible for maximum cases of MNP (mobile number portability) violations. According to Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha in the Lok Sabha, most of the cases leading to MNP violation were reported in 2013-14.
Later on, the count decreased drastically to 9 in 2015-16. As per the data, Aircel is accounted for 30,149 MNP violation cases since 2013-14.
