HTC has officially announced two new Android smartphones – the HTC Butterfly S and the HTC Desire 200. The HTC Butterfly S is the new and improved version of the HTC Butterfly whereas the HTC Desire 200 is the new 3G enabled entry level Android smartphone.
HTC has added two new smartphones to its list, the HTC Butterfly S and the HTC Desire 200. These smartphones were unveiled at a press conference that was held in Yilan, Taipei. This unveiling brings good news to high-end consumers as well as low-end consumers. The high-end consumers now have a new smartphone option to look out for – the HTC Butterfly S, whereas low-end consumers can check out the HTC Desire 200.
According to the information provided by HTC, the Butterfly S will have a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a very high pixel density. The device will be powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and will have 2GB of RAM. The device also has the HTC Sense 5 UI and front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers which makes the Butterfly S as good as the HTC One when it comes to audio. Other important features include 16GB of internal storage, 3200 mAh high capacity battery, quad-band HSPA/WCDMA radio, Ultra Pixel camera and a 2.1 MP front facing wide-angle camera.
Coming to the low end HTC Desire 200, the device has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and has 512MB of RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD card support that will help expand storage space. Other important features include a 5MP primary camera, front-facing VGA camera and a 1230 mAh removable battery. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
