Once the update is ready, Samsung will quickly push it in all regions and ensure that Samsung Galaxy consumers face no issues in the upgrade process.
The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has been one of the most popular versions of Android OS, and every consumer in the market wants his smartphone and tablet to be upgraded to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Today we check out how and when will this update be rolled out for the latest Samsung Galaxy series of smartphone which include the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and even the Galaxy S2.
Samsung Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box, and it even comes with Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 pre-installed. Now the question is, when do other Samsung Galaxy smartphone consumers get a chance to taste Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the new TouchWiz UI?
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was expected to get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean by the month of June. However, we don’t see that happening because Samsung is planning to integrate its latest TouchWiz UI in the Galaxy Note 2. So we assume that the update will arrive by the third quarter of the year, but once its ready, Samsung will quickly push the update in all regions and ensure that consumers face no issues whatsoever in the upgrade process.
Samsung Galaxy S3
Even the Samsung Galaxy S3 was expected to get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean during the same time period as the Galaxy Note 2. The Android 4.2 update for the Galaxy S3 will be an even complex task for Samsung. This is because along with the latest version TouchWiz UI, Samsung will also be integrating most of the unique gesture features, which will allow Galaxy S3 consumers to get a good taste of what the Galaxy S4 feels like.
Samsung Galaxy S2
If you are wondering whether the Samsung Galaxy S2 will ever get the Android 4.2 update, let me tell you that there were a lot of consumers who felt the same way about the 4.1 update. And since Samsung was kind enough to roll out the Android 4.1 update for the Galaxy S2, we would not be surprised if the company rolls out a 4.2 update as well. But as far as the release date is concerned, it could be somewhere in Q3 or Q4 as well, we will have to wait and watch.
Samsung Galaxy Note
Last but not the least, we come to the Samsung Galaxy Note. At the beginning of this year, Samsung rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note. And considering the point that there is a good chance that Samsung will roll out the 4.2 update for the Galaxy S2, the Samsung Galaxy Note definitely becomes a worth contender. It is a device that ‘should’ get the Android 4.2 update as it is technically possible for Samsung to do so.
