An Instagram official has reported to CNET saying that ‘5 million videos were uploaded in the first 24 hours’ after Instagram started accepting small video clips. Android and iOS consumers who have updated the Instagram app on their devices have uploaded these videos using the new feature added by the update.
The latest update of Instagram app allows Android and iOS costumers to shoot 15 second videos. These videos can then be edited and tagged using a video editing filter and finally can be uploaded on the social network. And as a consumer, you do not even have to worry about shaky and jumpy videos, because during the upload process, stabilization is added to your videos that smooths them.
The response has been excellent and it seems that Instagram consumers are having a great time uploading videos. According to the report from the Instagram official, at its peak, Instagram app was uploading 40 hours of video a minute. This peak was achieved when Miami Heat was playing against the San Antonio Spurs in the finals.
There have been so many videos uploaded by Instagram members, which are about 130 million in numbers, that a person would take one full year to view each of them.
