Google’s summer sale slashes Home Max and Pixel 2 XL prices

Summer is here and to celebrate the season, Google is offering heavy discounts on its entire range of devices ranging from the Google Pixel phones to the smart speakers and all. Here is a list of all that one can avail of with a discount on the Google Store.

The Pixel 2 XL is now cheaper by a whole $100. That makes the phone to be now available for $749 for the 64 GB version while the top-end version with 128 GB storage is now priced $849. Also, buyers will be provided an outright discount of $100 on the marked price of the phone which again is in sharp contrast to the usual Google practice of providing in-store credits in such occasions.

The smaller Pixel 2 has however been kept out of the ambit of any such discount scheme. This should be disappointing for those who have been looking to pick up the cheaper variant on an even cheaper price tag though that is how things stand at the moment.

Google Home Speaker too is benefitting from the discount, with the biggest price cut applicable to the high-end device – the Home Max speaker. Each of the smart speakers is now being provided a price cut of $75, which effectively brings the price down to $324 for each unit of the device. For two of the speakers, the discounts amount to $150 with the net price users will have to shell out amounting to $648.

The Home Mini smart speaker too is being provided with a discount, albeit a relatively small price cut of $15. That brings the price down to $34 for the tiny speakers. Similarly, the Google Home speaker too has its price down to $99, which is $30 less than the regular price. Opting to buy two Home speakers will be more advantageous as this will bump up the discount for each speaker to $50, bringing the net discount for both to $100.

There is a deal awaiting those opting to buy the Chromecast Ultra as well. The 4k ready casting device can be bought for $54 which is $15 less than the original price tag. There are more benefits in store on the entertainment front as the Daydream View too has its price cut by half. This makes the headset to be priced at just $49.

The reduced prices will be in effect till July 17 through Google also said the offer is applicable till stocks last. So, for those opting to buy the devices, they better hurry!
