Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro gets TENAA certification, launch likely in early 2019

The Xiaomi 6 Pro might still be going strong in the market though that isn’t stopping the Chinese company to start planning on its successor already. And from news currently emanating from the country, things already are in an advanced stage with the Redmi 7 Pro.

What makes buyers optimistic of the Redmi 7 Pro is the fact that the phone has already done the rounds of the Chinese certification site, TENAA where it is identified by the model number M1901F9T. That points to a launch sometime soon, maybe in early 2019 though the TENNA is also where many a secret of the phone too has come to the fore.

That includes a change in the notch design so that the 7 Pro will have the more delicate waterdrop notch compared to a rectangular design for the 6 Pro. Also, it is going to be a 5.84-inch display for the 7 Pro having a 19: 9 aspect ratio. The display is also expected to have a full HD+ resolution though that isn’t confirmed as yet. The phone should also have a much-improved screen to body ratio thanks to the change in the notch design.

Further, the listing also revealed a 2900 mAh power pack for the phone, and that there is going to be a dual camera setup at the rear. Nothing special with that though what with dual lens rear cams have already started to become commonplace. However, the cams are going to be backed by intelligent AI software to allow for excellent photos in a varying lighting condition.

Unfortunately, there is nothing much else known of the phone so far, except that there is going to be MIUI 10 running on the phone though there is no surety on what Android version the phone will come with. Also, there is going to be a rear mounted fingerprint sensor as well for security.

As for its launch, that is likely to happen in China and India first followed by a more global rollout later on. More details are awaited though we won’t likely have to wait for long for all the info to emerge.
