Google has started offering the special editions of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One that run on stock Android operating system. Starting from today, two of the most powerful next-gen smartphones, the Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 and Google Edition HTC One can now be purchased from Google Play.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One aren’t new to anyone. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the flagship device of Samsung whereas the HTC One is the flagship device of HTC. Thanks to Samsung, HTC and Google, consumers can now buy special editions of these smartphones that will run on stock Android Jelly Bean OS. These stock versions will have no custom UI like Samsung’s Nature UX or HTC’s Sense UI; instead they will run on pure stock Android just like the Google Nexus 4.

These devices are better known as Google Editions, and Google is offering the Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 for $649.99 whereas the Google Edition HTC One has been priced at $599.99. If you have been waiting for any of these devices, then now is the time to go ahead and order it right away. According to the information provide by Google, shipping will start from the 9th of July.

However, before you confirm your order, there is something that you really should know about – the Google Edition HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 work only on GSM networks. It means that these two smartphones won’t support Verizon and Sprint, but will work just fine on AT&T and T-Mobile. If you are planning to opt for T-Mobile network, then we suggest that you get the Galaxy S4 as it supports T-Mobile’s full 3G/4G bands.

Apart from getting a chance to use the stock version of Galaxy S4 or HTC One, you wont have to worry about Android software updates anymore, as the updates will be pushed directly by Google. You won’t have to wait for long time periods and also don’t have to wait for your carrier to approve the updates. You can check out the deals offered by Google using the links below.
