Microsoft confirms Facebook and Flipboard apps coming to Windows 8

Microsoft made the official announcements at the BUILD 2013 keynote confirming that both Facebook and Flipboard apps are in works and will be available for Windows 8 soon .

A number of consumers must be wondering whether and when Facebook and Flipboard will make it to Windows 8. And today we have good news for these consumers – Microsoft has announced that an official Facebook app and Flipboard app for Windows 8 is under development. The company also said that both these apps are being designed for the Modern UI.

Facebook and Flipboard Windows 8 Live Tile

The BUILD 2013 Keynote address has brought good news for consumers who have been waiting for Facebook and Flipboard to officially make it to the Windows 8 platform. Now that we have your interest, you will be happy to know that the Facebook and Flipboard app that is coming to Windows 8 is expected to bring the best user experience possible.

At the event, Microsoft also announced that the NFL will be releasing a ‘Windows 8 Fantasy Football app.’ Using this app, consumers will be able to prepare their own fantasy leagues for the upcoming 2013 NFL season.

As of now, we do not know how these apps look like, even though we did get to see a glimpse of what these apps would be like. At the BUILD keynote, we did get to see the ‘Live Tiles’ for the Facebook and Flipboard app, and now we are waiting to actually check out these new apps.
